Worn only for a brief photo session and carefully stored.  An amazing 1890 style ensemble of golden brown silk with flocked velvet floral design, ivory silk, and ivory embroidered net laces with matching hat.  The walking length skirt is lined, has two ties to hold the back of the skirt in place, and closes with hooks and eyes.  A wide embroidered net lace ruffle graces the bottom and an attached ivory asymetrical overskirt is trimmed with two styles of net lace.

 

The bodice has the period perfect leg-o-mutton sleeves, high necked collar, and embroidered net lace accents on a gathered front which covers a fitted front.  The bodice is lined, interlined, and lightly boned and closes down the center front with hooks and eyes.  A separate pleated cumberbund finishes off the waist.

 

For an additional look there is a lined long vest which is trimmed with two different embroidered net laces and a back gold-tone buckle.

 

A matching period correct hat is included which is hand made from buckram and millinery wire and covered with the fabrics and laces used in the making of the gown.

 

Measurements are Bust to 39/40 inches, Waist to 30 inches, Hips to 40 inches, Skirt length 41 inches.  Alterations not available, dry cleaning recommended.
