This stunning gown needs a new home and a place to show off!  It has never been worn but has been tried on when purchased and then safely stored for almost 4 years.  It's time that it had a chance to grace a wearer and share its beauty!  Constructed of an evergreen cotton velvet with the hem of the skirt and the edges of the bodice piped with black velvet.  The bodice is fashioned with a wide bertha collar trimmed in silk strips, a bias cut rucheing of butter color brocaded silk, eyelash and beaded black fringe, red enamel buttons, and green velvet bows.  The sleeves of the bodice are lined with black velvet and puffed on the outside with the butter colored silk.  The bodice is fully lined with metal stays on the center front and back to hold the points straight and closes with hooks and eyes.
 
The elegant skirt is box pleated to the waistband in the front and set on with handsewn cartridge pleats in the back and closes with hooks and eyes.  The removable sash is 100% silk finished with a hand made tassle.  Worn best over a small hoopskirt.
 
Measurements are Bust to 35 inches, bodice around shoulders 39 inches, Waist to 27 inches, skirt center front length 39 inches.
