Each month the crafters at The Perfect Touch choose a special cause and donate 10% of all sales to that cause.  In addition, several crafters combine their resources to create a parasol representing that cause.  The full purchase price of the parasol is also donated to the cause of choice.  This parasol is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.  It has been designed by Mercat Cross from her corset parasol pattern, and trimmed and lined by Lady Jeanette.  The fabric patterns of polka dot and damask are chosen from The Perfect Touch website.

 

The outside of the parasol has 6 pink and black polka dot corsets with black ribbon seams with white stitching.  The top of the corsets are trimmed with a black and white polka dot ribbon.  Pink satin laces are attached with black beads and tie in a bow.  Around the center and also along the outside edge is a hand-stitched double trim of white lace and black and white polka dot satin.  A Pink is for Hope ribbon with tiny pink bead is stitched near the parasol center.  The lining of the parasol is a black on white damask pattern cotton cut to create a striking pattern.  The wooden handle is embellished with pink satin ribbons.  An unattached black satin ribbon closes the parasol.

 

Dimensions are 32 inches long and 26 inches across when fully open.
